Skating along

Hi there! Sorry I have neglected my blog for this long! Time flies, I have had some serious family matters to attend. Mom in hospital with a broken hip, operation and all that kind of things, lots of things to sort out. But she fine now!

This Christmas card is made with love :), pretty easy to make and not to heavy for postage!
The DP is Marianne Design, the dies (flower and swirl) too. The image is called Skating along and can be found here --> LOTV <--.
I coloured her with my watercolourpencils and I used Stickles for the fur on het coat. I used the same stickles for the snow falling from the sky.
Here is a peek at the pointsettia, the heart is filled with pearl adhesive stones from Kars.
I have a lot of blogging to do so I'd better get started!
Until the next card *smile*

Christmas card and a challenge

Hi dear blog followers
and all others who stumbled across my blog :)!
I am already making Chrismas cards and I am having fun with them.
The sentiment says: Happy holidays!
A closer look:
The image, sentiment, papers, lace die and rhinestones are all Marianne Design! The lace die is cut twice and the ribbon is binding them together.
The ribbon was bought on a marketplace. The image is coloured with my watercolour pencils. The fur on the hat is Flower Soft and was bought on a hobby fair. The brads are from stash.

This card is in the challenge of a new challenge blog:
Marianne's Design Diva's: anything goes and at
The Secret Crafters: Christmas is coming

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a note :)

Because you are very special.

Happy Birthday to you!

This card is made for my mother who recently turned 81! The lady on the card actually IS my Mom.
She doesn't remember at what age the picture was taken, but my guess is she was in her twenties.
The DP is a paperbloc from Marianne Design called: Nostalgia. The big doily is Cheery Lynn Designs also used for inside the card. The small doily is Marianne Design again.
The flower was crocheted by me, it's not perfect I know but this is the first one with 2 colours I've ever made. The charm, lace, rhinestones and leaves are from my stash.
The sentiment on the little tag says: Because you are very special.
A peek at the inside:
The sentiment here says: Congratulations.
Thank you for stopping by!

Keeping my promise ...

Hi all!!
As promised I finally have the template of the couch for you. I don't know who made it originally, but I got this one at a card workshop.

In addition to this template you need a stand and the measures of that are: 5 by 7cm. Score the 7 cm at 1cm and glue this 1cm to the back of your couch.

If you have made one (or even more ), I would like you to tell me about it so I can come and see for myself what you've made.
Leave a little love if you take this template to your place.

A new home couch

This couch is quit easy to make although is looks complicated. It's made in one piece of cardstock. Embellishments, die cuts and (a computer made) sentiment. If you want this template I will post this on my blog, so you can copy it to your own computer :).
The sentiment says: Lots of happiness in your new home (is that an English saying?).
This is how it looks like from the top:
 Thanks for stopping by!!

Just for show: black & white

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't posted for a while, family matters got priority. I have made some cards though and I will be showing them shortly.
This card is just for show: a black and white card with several dies. But I couldn't tell what brand they are, the swirl however is Marianne Design.
A feather, some beads, some stitching, lace and ribbon.

My camera is showing in the mirror and if you look very closely: yes it's me LOL!
Below a close up:
If you have any questions about this card, please don't hesitate to ask!
Thank you for stopping by!

Male vintage card and a challenge

Hi all!
Today I want to show you a card I made for an 80 year old man.
As I struggle to make a male card (who doesn't!), I found myself making a vintage card
and it turned quite nice if  I may say so :D.
Not too much frills, no lace, just paper (paperbloc Sweet Romance from Marianne Design)
The image is from Studio Light and search for Romantic Pictures.
The flower, leave and fern are dies by Marinanne Design,
the doily behind the image is Cheery Lynn Designs
the French Pastry doily. The small tag is a Spellbinders Nestability.
Almost forgot: the punch is a Martha Stewart.
This card is going for the challenges at:
Crafter's Companion Monthly challenge blog which is:
One for the boys
A big HUG and thank you for swinging by!
